Story X Lab – Africa’s Storytelling Renaissance
The world doesn’t just run on data, it runs on stories that earn trust, raise funds, and inspire action.
Story X Lab is a 12-week incubator training Africa’s next generation of corporate storytellers; blending journalism, media, advocacy, and AI-powered tools to shape narratives that move industries, communities, and nations forward.
From narrative design and AI tools to branding, monetization, and real-world campaigns, every participant graduates with a portfolio and opportunities for placement.
Because storytelling is Africa’s missing infrastructure, and those who tell the best stories win.
Digital Content Creation
The first cycle of our Digital Content Creation Program (DCCP), which kicked off in December 2024, brought together six passionate creators with unique ideas. Through hands-on workshops covering content strategy, storytelling, mobile photography, and brand identity, they gained the skills and confidence needed to take their content to the next level.
With guidance from industry experts, these creators not only grew their audiences but also found new ways to monetize their work, making more money from their passion. As we look ahead, we’re excited to expand this program and empower 200 creators annually, helping them grow both creatively and financially in the ever revolving digital world.
Co-Creation Residency
This annual program was designed to address the challenges faced by emerging talent in Nigeria, such as
limited access to mentorship, industry-aligned training, and opportunities to showcase their work.
Through the residency, we aim to provide participants with the necessary resources, industry mentorship,
and a platform to bring their creative visions to life. In the first cycle, we supported 5 talented creatives
from fields like film, music, visual arts, and digital media.
Over the course of the residency, participants engaged in hands-on workshops, collaborated on cross disciplinary projects, and received valuable feedback from industry experts like Ebuka Mordi and Baba Fiammari .
Open House
Our monthly Open House events have become a vibrant space where creatives from all walks of life come together to connect, collaborate, and learn. These events have attracted a diverse range of individuals from various creative fields, from film makers and photographers to musicians, designers, and digital content creators.
Each session serves as a platform for industry experts to share their knowledge, offering valuable insights on everything from creative processes to business strategies and emerging trends. More than just a networking opportunity, the Open House fosters an environment of learning and growth.
